Ronald R. Carnebianca, 68, of Rome, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at St. Elizabeth's Healthcare in Utica. He was born in Rome on July 14, 1948, the son of the late Orlando and Camille Mirabelli Carnebianca. He was a graduate of Rome Free Academy.
Ron was a retired accountant and worked part-time for the Oneida County Board of Elections. He also coached Pop Warner Football for several years.
He is survived by his Uncle and Aunt, Ralph and Clare Mirabelli, Aunt Polly Sanzone; many cousins who loved and cared for him; his companion and best friend, Betty Williamson and her six children, Mark, Calvin, and Lawrence Verro, Alicia and Seth Desjardins, and Carla Williamson; and his close friend, Rob Tennant. He predeceased by Aunts and Uncles, Tony (Goody) and Rita Gurdo, Louis and Emma Marcelletta, Vito and Gerri Romano, Jean Illi, Joe and Viola Surace, Pat and Mary Mirabelli, and Bill Sanzone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Church on Thursday at 11:00AM with the Rev. Paul Angelicchio officiating. Interment will take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, from 4-6:00PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ron's memory may be made to the Rome Rescue Mission or St. John the Baptist Church.
