Demoin S. Kirby, 73, of Taberg, passed away at home on Thursday, May 11, 2017. He was born on July 22, 1943, in Camden, the son of the late Demoin G. and Gertrude I. Scott Kirby. On May 4, 1963, he was united in marriage to Donna M. Semo with whom he shared a blessed union of 47 years before she passed away on October 22, 2010.
Demoin attended Camden Central Schools and went straight to work at Camden Wire Co. and then went on to spend over 40 years working at Revere Copper and Brass Co. as a castor.
He was a member of the Taberg Methodist Church, the Friendship Club of Taberg, and the Camden Senior Citizens.
Demoin was an avid bowler, loved the outdoors and spending time with family. He also enjoyed his hobby managing a towing and salvage business.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Robyn and James Barbato of Taberg, and Corrina and Jeff Nobis of Maryland; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Brenda Kirby of Swedesboro, NJ, and Michael (Joy Flores) Kirby of Las Vegas, NV and Stephanie Kirby of Las Vegas, NV: two sisters, Linda Furney of Florida and Mary Lou Bird of Blossvale; eight grandchildren, Michael, Maria, Shelby, Kelsey, Gwendolyn, Sean, Evan and Sofia; a close friend, Carolyn Cushman; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Harriet Armstrong, and a brother, Donald Kirby Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30AM at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Taberg. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Demoin's memory may be made to the Taberg Methodist Church or the Taberg Volunteer Fire Department.
