Andrew J. Roser, 73, of Taberg, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. Born in Rome November 17, 1945, he was the son of the late Earl and Elizabeth (Kipp) Roser. He attended Westmoreland schools. On August 20, 1972, he was united in marriage to Jeanette Piersall in Westernville, NY.
Andrew worked 29 years at Rome Cable Corp., retiring in 2001. He later worked at Turningstone Resort and Casino and Lowe's Home Improvement.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the New London Volunteer Fire Department.
Andrew loved to tend to his garden and was an avid outdoorsman, whether he was hunting, fishing, or camping, but time spent with his family was what he enjoyed most.
Surviving besides his loving wife of 46 years, Jeanette, are five daughters, Brenda (Darrick) Findlay, Cynthia (Gary) Lohr, Sheila (Jeff) Howard, Sandra Galarneau and Lisa (Chris) Conover; a son, James Roser; two sisters, Patricia Vaillancourt and Linda Keyes; two brothers, Earl (Jeanette) Roser, Jr. and Roger (Daryl) Roser; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Bruce.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 4-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Andrew's memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
