Obituary of Agnes Meyers

Agnes Mary (Kowalski) Meyers now rests in peace, reunited with the love of her life, her husband of 62 years, Donald Howard Meyers. She was born on January 27, 1932 in Rome, NY. She was the second of five children born to Stephen and Mary (Schram) Kowalski. Agnes and Don were married on June 24, 1950 and made their home in Camden for 52 years.

For 30 years Agnes and Donald owned and operated Meyers Chocolates in Camden, NY. Before opening Meyers Gift and Chocolate World with Don, Agnes independently owned and operated Meyers Home for the Aged in Camden from 1960 to 1975 and a hair salon in downtown Camden from 1975 to 1983. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Camden.

She loved and cherished her family more than anything. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and daughter, and shared her hobbies of fishing, needlework, playing cards, and bingo. She will be missed beyond words.
