Obituary of David Hoehn
David L.Hoehn, 87, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at St. Elizabeth's Healthcare in Utica with his two daughters by his side. He was born in Rome on August 21, 1930, the son of the late Alvin and Faye Fike Hoehn. On September 10, 1955 he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Link, a blessed union of 61 years. Mary Lou passed away January 12, 2017.
Dave worked for 26 years at Bartell Machinery Systems where he established many friendships. He was a member of St. Mary's/St. Peter's Church.
David is survived by: two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Gerry Orlando of Syracuse and Linda and Kenny Engelbert of Doylestown, PA; a son-in-law, Frank Mellace of Rome; seven cherished grandchildren, Alissa and Alanna Orlando, Michele and David Engelbert and Jennifer, Cic and Michael Mellace; brother, Calvin Hoehn of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by: a daughter, Brenda Mellace; a grandson, Kenneth Engelbert; a sister, Virginia Donovan; and two brothers, Donald and Robert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:30AM at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Philip Hearn officiating. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Monday from 4-7:00pm.
