Obituary of Carol A Nobis

Carol A. Nobis, 78, of Glenmore Rd., Taberg, passed away on Sunday, August 05, 2018, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Utica where she had been a patient for the past ten days.

She was born on December 21, 1939, in Rome, the daughter of Francis and Bertha Goclon Leszczyk. Carol was a 1958 graduate of Rome Free Academy.

On September 12, 1959, Carol was united in marriage to Stanley J. Nobis in Transfiguration Church in Rome.

Carol devoted her life to caring for her family. She took great pride in being able to help raise her grandchildren and adored her great-grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Taberg.

Surviving besides her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Stanley; are her two children, Christine (John) Plumley, and Anthony Nobis, all of Taberg; a brother, Walter (Sue) Leszczyk, of Taberg; eight grandchildren, Casey (Jan) Okusko, Jacob Plumley, Megan (Justin) Pfeifer, Clair (Aaron) Pfeifer, Kelsey Nobis, Stanley Nobis, Kerry Nobis, and Tyler Nobis; six great-grandchildren, Jameson and Josephine Okusko, Abel, Ruth, and Emerson Pfeifer, and Kali Kosakowski; and several nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by a brother, Francis (Janet) Leszczyk.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, beginning with a Prayer Service at 9:45 AM at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Church in Taberg where the Rev. Francis A. Wapen will officiate. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Taberg. Family and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home, 9464 St. Rt. 13, Camden.
