Obituary of Sally Seibel
Sally Seibel, 71, of Rome, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 17, 2018, at the Abraham House in Utica after a brief illness.
Sally was born in Rome, New York on March 30, 1947 to Chester and Helen Kruk Boncella. A lifelong resident of the area, Sally was educated in the Rome City school district. She married James "Otie" Seibel in Rome on July 31, 1971. He passed away September 2, 2015.
Sally was employed at GE, waitressed for many years at Marina's Pizzeria and Pizza Villa and was co-owner of Westside News with her brother, Tom. After retirement Sally and Otie enjoyed traveling and spending their winters in Florida and summers on Lake Ontario.
Sally is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law Ron and Pat Boncella; Jim Boncella and Marian Terry; Tom and Rosemary Boncella; Sisters and brothers-in-law Elaine and Pat McNamara; Janet Uvanni; Susanne and Joe Wilczynski. She also leaves behind several very special nieces and nephews; Roxanne and Lenny Seymore, Tracy and Dennis Kimball, Matt Boncella, Tanya and Mike Fidler, Jill and Larry Campbell, Charise and Mike Prusinowski, Chris Cady, Erica and Lucas Overton, Josh and Christy Seymore, Tyler and Nick Kimball, Alaina and Tristan Fidler, Brandon and Logan Boncella, Macayla and Grayson Campbell, Madison Prusinowski, John Patrick Seymore and Stuart and Paul Seibel. She was predeceased by her parents Chester and Helen Boncella; her in-laws Warren and Florence Seibel; Nephew Michael Uvanni: and brother-in-law Kevin Uvanni.
Family and friends may visit Thursday, from 4-7:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, 418 N. George St., Rome. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Taberg.
