Obituary of Bonita J VanHoeven
Bonita J. VanHoeven, 64, of Old Oneida Rd., Rome, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at the Abraham House in Rome after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on April 3, 1955, in Rome, the daughter of LeRoy and Kathleen Seymour Beyette.
Bonita was a housekeeper for Quality Inn in Rome for several years. She was previously employed as a seamstress for Sherrill Enterprises.
Bonita’s door was always open to everyone but especially her grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She enjoyed helping people out anyway she could especially by cooking for them.
Surviving are her daughter, Hillary (Josh) Young, of Rome; three grandchildren, Soren, Loki, and Helena; the father of her daughter, Jammie VanHoeven, of Rome; and her nieces and nephews Grace, Michele, Amy, and Adam. Bonita was predeceased by two brothers, Stephen Beyette and Paul Beyette.
Bonita’s family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at the Abraham House for the kindness, compassion, and wonderful care given to her.
