Obituary of Katherine M. Busyczak

Katherine M. (DePasquale) Busyczak, 98, of Rome, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. Born in Lowell on February 8, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Carmella (Bianco) DePasquale. On October 4, 1941, she was united in marriage to Peter Busyczak in St. John the Baptist Church. Katherine and Peter owned and operated a dairy farm for over 50 years and was a member of St. John the Baptists Church. She loved to craft in her spare time, whether it be with ceramics, basket weaving, or crocheting. She was a vendor at many local craft fairs many years. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Hayduk and Patricia Busyczak; a son, Robert Busyczak; three grandchildren, Eric Hayduk, Brian (Danielle) Hayduk and Michelle Hunter; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Joseph Hayduk; three sisters, Mary Schillaci, Vincenza “Sally” DiGristina and Theresa Burleson and three brothers, Angelo, Patsy and Francis DePasquale. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church at a later date. Immediate services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Interment will take place in Rome Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
