Obituary of Joseph R. Lombino

Joseph R. Lombino, Jr., 53, of Rome, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 23, 2021, after a long illness Born in Rome on February 23, 1968, he was a son of the late Joseph R. “Dickie” and Maryanne (Smaldon) Lombino, Sr. He was a 1986 graduate of Rome Free Academy and on July 20, 1992, he was united in marriage to Kelly Ann Brennan. Joe was a manager in the meat department at Wal Mart before being forced to retire due to disability. He loved to collect CROCS and hats, and he has what seems like a million tools. He enjoyed accompanying his wife on shopping trips and long car rides. Surviving besides his loving wife, Kelly, is a daughter, Paige Lombino (Malachi Wright); a son, Joseph “Buster” Lombino III; a sister and brother-in-law, Anne Marie and Roger Harrington; his beloved dog, Hayley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Karen Daigle. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, October 27th, from 12-2:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Private interment at St. John’s Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family.
