Mildred (Millie) Edna Tucker Andrewski, 89, passed away surrounded by her family on May 22,2022 in Hollywood, Florida. She was born to the late Glenn and Ruth Tucker in Rome, NY on May 29, 1932.
In her younger years, she worked at iconic places such as Candyland in Rome; Junior's in Brooklyn; Golden Nugget in LasVegas; and Castaways in Miami Beach.
She moved back to Rome, and on January 8, 1971, she married the love of her life, Stanley Andrewski, who died in 1994. She earned her GED and became the bookkeeper for Myers Brothers Roofing. While living in Rome, she loved taking care of her poodles; visiting with friends and family; playing Scrabble; swimming in her pool and at the YMCA. As a Catholic, she attended mass at Transfiguration-St. John’s Catholic Church.
In 2018, she moved to Pembroke Pines, FL, and lived her remaining years in the home of her eldest daughter and son-in-law. During those last years, she participated in frequent family gatherings and enjoyed reading, playing cards, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, riding her bike, swimming, and sunning by the lake with her furry companions.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret (Peggy) Tucker and brother, Richard Tucker; daughters and sons-in-law: Yvonne and Craig Lewis, Denise and Joseph DiBiase, Phyllis and Jeffrey Pinter, and Suzanne and Andrew Ryan; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sisters: Dorothy (Dot) Cianfrano and Edith (Penny) Tucker; brothers: Arthur Tucker, Roy Tucker; and grandson, Jacob Bassett.
Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. 418 N. George St., Rome, on Saturday, June 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
