Obituary of John C. Sawicki

John C. Sawicki, 67, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2022. He was born in Rome on April 2, 1955, a son of the late Stanley and Helen (Zacharicz) Sawicki. He was a 1973 graduate of Rome Catholic High School and attended SUNY-Oneonta.

John was a Certified Nurse’s Aide for 13 years in the Albany/Saratoga area before moving to Titusville, FL. While in Florida, he worked for 20 years at Walmart.

John loved everything Christmas. He enjoyed trains, horses, cross-stitch and flowers.

He is survived by two sisters, Doreen Sawicki and Diane Sawicki-Adams (Richard); a brother, James Sawicki; two “sons”, Craig “Chip” Fisher (Wanda) and Uriah Robinson, both of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Sawicki.

John’s family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice of St. Francis in Titusville, FL and Hospice and Palliative Care of New Hartford, for their wonderful care and compassion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 8^th at 11:00 a.m. at Transfiguration Church. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in John’s memory to Hospice and Palliative Care, 4227 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413.
