Obituary of Regina R. Moyer

Regina Moyer age 85 originally from Rome, NY, retired to Castle Hayne, NC, where she lived with her brother-in-law Gordon Moyer.  This after a very long-time battling Dementia has passed away with Gordon by her side.

She was born September 20, 1937 in Rome, NY,  a daughter of Kenneth and Alcenia Sherwood,  She married Hildred (Billy) Moyer October 16, 1954  in St. Mary's Church.

Mrs. Moyer was a home maker who loved canning, gardening, working side by side with her husband.  They struggled a lot but, made what they had work.  Over all she loved just being "MOM".

Surviving are her two daughters Valerie Martin and Lori Rhodes-Merrill both living in Sanford, Maine; her brother Bobby and wife Carol Sherwood of Steuben, NY; three grandchildren Christina Burgy, Carl Martin Sr and  Keely Foster living in NY; Great Grandchildren Carl Martin jr., Amanda Martin, Brandon and Ryan Burgy, Anthony and Arianna Tine, Cassandra Irizarry, many Nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her Husband Billy and her youngest daughter Jean Marie Stark, sister Marjorie Mehl and brother Jack Sherwood.

Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, NY, on Friday, July 8^th, from 4-6:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 9^th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
