William F. Dahlke II, 44, of Rome, NY, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 He was born in Smithtown NY on October 23, 1977 son of William Dahlke and Laura (Alaimo)Sondak .
He is survived by his daughter Alyssa Dahlke, his father William, his mother Laura Sondak, his step-father David Sondak, 1 Sister: Elizabeth (Frederick)(Hannah)Beach, 2 Brothers: Scott (Kelly)(Dakota, Angello, Ki'moni)Dahlke, Tim (Lindsey)(Aiden, Cameron, Liam, Connor)Dahlke.
Will was a bright, charismatic man. He was the light in any room he entered. He was the "joy" in enjoy.
He was a fiercely independent man. The words he lived by were, "I'm the Delk Damnit! I do as I please and I'm pleased to do it!"
He passionately loved his family! He would move heaven and earth for their happiness. His daughter Alyssa was his world. The sun rose and set with her.
He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved camping, fishing and hiking. He had dreams of moving to Alaska and living off the grid. He was also quite the accomplished, self-taught chef.
Will is loved, deeply, by many. Friends and family included.
The light in this world has dimmed since he left it.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 18th at 4:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday prior to the service from 2-4:00 p.m.
